About the Author Paraman Subramaniam

Paraman V Subramaniam is an accomplished author and General Practitioner who operates his own private clinic. His fascination with cosmology inspired him to write a paper that evolved into his debut book, Hand in Glove – Handing Love: The Journey of Gravity from the Ocean Within, which was inspired by a dive into the South China Sea at the dawn of the millennium. The book has been translated into four languages and expands on his poster presentation at a European Space Agency (ESA) scientific conference in Noordwijk, Netherlands, titled “Water in the Universe: From Clouds to Oceans.”

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Paraman attended La Salle Secondary School Petaling Jaya and earned his MBBS from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India. Following a successful internship in India, he contributed to various hospitals across East and West Malaysia before co-founding his General Practice clinic in 2002.

In addition to his medical career, Paraman is a passionate supporter of Liverpool FC, enjoys watching movies, and devotes significant effort to human rights activism. His adventurous spirit has taken him to remarkable heights; he’s conquered the highest peak in Southeast Asia, experienced the thrill of white-water rafting, soared in a hot air balloon above the deserts of Dubai, gazed at the stars in Hanle, and even shared a gentle kiss with a dolphin. Paraman’s quest for adventure doesn’t stop there; he’s also taken a dip into the sacred waters of the Ganges, gone whale watching in the icy landscapes of Iceland, marvelled at the breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon and explored the stunning savannahs and wildlife of the Masai Mara.

Married with three children, Paraman hopes to witness the discovery of extraterrestrial life during his lifetime, further fueling his lifelong curiosity about the cosmos.
